Kathmandu. Melamchi drinking water will be distributed at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Naxal, Bhatbhateni East and other areas. According to Minister for Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav, melamchi drinking water will reach the area soon as necessary infrastructure is ready to send mining water.
After monitoring and inspecting the project implementation directorate (PID) under the Ministry of Drinking Water here today, he said the melamchi drinking water would be distributed soon as the work of laying the pipeline was successful.
Minister Yadav said, “The primary pipeline laid under melamchi drinking water supply system has been successfully completed at the Prime Minister’s residence at Baluwatar and surrounding areas. We will soon distribute drinking water from Melamchi. ’
Project Implementation Directorate (PID) Chief Laxmi Upadhyay said that after the successful completion of the pressure test, the supply of Melamchi water will be started on Baluwatar, Naxal (Bhatbhateni East), Tundaldevi, Bishalnagar, Bangshidhar Marg West and Suvarna Shumsher Road.
According to him, around 3,500 households in the area are expected to be directly benefited after the distribution of water. Project Manager of the Project Implementation Directorate (PID), Amit Ranjit, said that the pipeline has been constructed in line with the long-term goal of supplying clean, clean and regular drinking water to the residents of Kathmandu Valley.
