Kailali. Dhangadhi: The Inland Revenue Office Dhangadhi has collected Rs 2.87 billion in revenue in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. This is an increase of 7.44 percent compared to the fiscal year 2080/81.

Information Officer at the Revenue Office, Chhatra Bahadur Majhi, informed that the office had collected 81.39 per cent of the revenue target of Rs 3.53 billion in the last fiscal year. Although the revenue collection was not the same as the target of the last fiscal year, it was more than the previous fiscal year, he said.

According to him, the revenue office collected Rs 267.38 million from partnership income tax, Rs 1.27 billion from personal income tax, Rs 164.39 million from excise income tax and Rs 1.11 billion from value added tax in the last fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2080/81 BS, the government had collected Rs 2.67 billion revenue against the target of Rs 3.08 billion.
