Bikaji’s premium snacks to be produced in Nepal in collaboration with Chaudhary Group

Kathmandu. Chaudhary Group has entered into a strategic partnership with India’s leading snacks brand Bikaji Foods with an aim to take nepal’s snack market to a new level.

Based on a 50 per cent partnership between Chaudhary Group and Bikaji Foods International Limited, premium quality bikaji dishes such as bhujia, namkeen, papad and packaged sweets will be produced in Nepal. Both companies are confident that production will start soon and will be available in the market as both the companies will jointly invest capital to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing factory in Nepal.

Mr. Varun Chaudhary, Managing Director, CG Corp Global said, “This partnership has further helped Chaudhary Group’s plans to expand world-class new brands in Nepal. “This will help create jobs, strengthen the supply chain and make the food industry dynamic. We aim to make india’s diverse tastes an easy part of the daily life of Nepalis,” Chaudhary said.

Nepal’s FMCG market is now expanding rapidly. With an increase in demand among a population of about 30 million and urban consumers, the market for FMCG is growing at a rate of 20 percent annually. The FMCG market in Nepal has crossed $1 billion. Bikaji’s reliable brand and product excellence and CG’s local efficiency, nationwide distribution network and consumer understanding are expected to have a long-term impact on this partnership.

Under the strategic partnership, a state-of-the-art manufacturing and packaging unit will be set up in Nepal under the leadership of Chaudhary Group. It will create direct and indirect jobs, strengthen local entrepreneurship and supply chains, deliver products that are clean, accessible and compatible with Nepali culture to consumers, and establish Nepal as a strong country in regional food exports. The two companies shared a common stance to promote innovation, empower communities and contribute to nepal’s economic and industrial growth.
