Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Chairman Sharad Ojha’s appearance has not been seen. A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on Monday regarding ojha’s appointment without attaining the age and qualification related to his experience.
Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Bal Krishna Dhakal were hearing the writ petition filed by Ojha. Ojha had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking quashing of the inquiry committee formed against him and revocation of suspension. Ojha had moved the Supreme Court seeking an interim order after the government suspended him and formed a committee to investigate the matter.
Chairman Ojha has filed a writ petition naming the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Finance, Committee Chairman Krishna Giri, members Jeevan Prakash Sitaula and Kapil Dev Oli as defendants.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on February 28 had appointed Ojha as the chairman of the NRA.
