Palpa. A ‘high mast light’ has been installed in bezad bazaar area of Rampur municipality for security and beautification. Mayor Raman Bahadur Thapa said that the lights have been installed to reduce criminal activities in the market area, peace, security and beautification.

“High mast lights have been installed with automated arrangements to prevent the movement of more people in the market area and various possible criminal incidents. The municipality will manage it including payment of electricity bills,” he said.

According to the demand of the municipality, 16 meters high and 2,400 watt capacity lights have been installed at a cost of Rs 600,000 through the Lumbini Province Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. According to the municipality, street lights have been installed on the roads and intersections of different places under the bright city.
