Stock market plunges 143 points in three days

Kathmandu. The stock market, which had crossed 3,000 points on Tuesday, fell to 2,800 points on Sunday. The stock market has lost 143 points in three trading days. Along with the stock market measurement index, the transaction amount has also seen a decline. Shares worth Rs 26 billion were traded on Tuesday, but only Rs 13 billion were traded on Sunday.

The index of all the 13 sub-groups has decreased today. Today, the index of other sub-groups has fallen the most by 3.48 percent. Today, the index of microfinance sub-group has decreased by more than 3 percent, while the index of banking, investment, life insurance and production and processing sub-group has decreased by more than 2 percent.

On Sunday, the NEPSE index fell by 63.73 points to 2858.90 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index fell 10.37 points, the Float Index 4.22 points and the Sensitive Float Index 3.52 points. Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased on this day. Shares worth Rs 15.98 billion were traded in the previous trading day, while shares worth Rs 13.75 billion were traded on Thursday.

Shares of two companies were traded at a positive circuit level today. Shares of Trade Tower and Shiva Shree Hydropower were traded at positive circuit levels on the day. Meanwhile, the share price of Three Star Hydropower has increased by 4.5 percent today. The price rise of other stocks is less than 4 percent. On this day, shares of Sanvi Energy were traded at negative circuit levels.

On this day, Nepal Reinsurance Company is at the top position in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 753.9 million of the company were traded on this day. Shares worth Rs 715 million of Himalayan Re Insurance were traded today, while shares worth Rs 590 million of Himalayan Distillery were traded.
