Kathmandu. Himalayan Everest Insurance has started innovative efforts in waste management. Doco Recyclers is collecting the waste from the head office with the collaboration between Insurance and Doco Recyclers.

Doco Recyclers is an environmental organization that collects, classifys and processes waste. The company has laid emphasis on waste management with the aim of establishing itself as an environment-friendly enterprise. Ceo Shrestha said that the insurance company has collaborated with Doco with the objective of managing such waste in a responsible manner. About 85 percent of the waste generated by Himalayan Everest Insurance is dry, so doco makes it a reusable material. The company plans to use as little paper as possible in the office and convert it into a digitization system.

“This is an important step towards ensuring long-term sustainable growth, as we commit to reducing carbon emissions as we embark on the journey to digitalization,” HEI said. The insurance company is preparing to extend and implement this scheme in the branches as well.
