Janakpurdham. Janakpurdham: Janak Education Materials Centre Provincial Office Janakpurdham has sold 1.77 million books worth Rs 228.86 million so far this year. This year, books were sold and distributed in this quantity from April to June.
Office chief Rudramani Khanal said that the sale and distribution of textbooks has increased due to the availability of textbooks before the start of the academic session this year. According to him, the target is to sell and distribute 2.37 million books worth Rs 250 million in the academic year 2082 BS. Textbooks are being sold and distributed to the school through 86 different distributors.
Janak Education Materials Centre provincial office has been selling and distributing textbooks in Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Saptari, Udayapur, Sindhuli, Siraha, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Parsa and Bara districts.
“In the past, there was a problem in the study and teaching as there was a delay in printing books,” khanal said. ’
The office had sold books worth Rs 233 million last year. According to Khanal, the office had sold 1.77 million textbooks for classes 1 to 12 in the academic year 2082 BS.
Janak Education Materials Center provides textbooks to students from class 1 to class 10 completely free of cost, while students of class 11 and class 12 have to buy textbooks of English, Nepali and social subjects themselves.
The school has been purchasing textbooks from the designated vendors and paying for the same to the local level concerned.
