Kathmandu. Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Budhigandaki Hydropower Company Limited, Engineer Arun Rajouria took oath of office and secrecy on Friday.

Chairman of the company and Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rajoria in the presence of Energy Minister Deepak Khadka.

On the occasion, Energy Minister Khadka congratulated the newly appointed CEO Rajouria and said that a large and strategic national project like Budhigandaki is in the process of entering the implementation phase. Therefore, he directed to move ahead with a clear action plan to show quality progress.

Stating that transparency, efficiency and punctuality were essential for the project, Minister Khadka expressed the belief that rajouria’s three-decade-long professional experience would speed up the project.

At the same time, he stressed that policy clarity and creating an environment of investment security should be the first priority of the leadership to take the project forward on public-private partnership model.

Energy Minister Khadka said, “This mega multi-purpose project of about 1200 MW capacity is expected to contribute to irrigation, flood control, tourism and employment generation along with electricity generation.” It is the responsibility of the Chief Executive to create an environment in which the country and the people can directly benefit by achieving the goals and objectives in such a project of national importance on time. ’
