Chandra Dhakal’s IME Motors has done business of Rs 2.25 billion in 9 months

Kathmandu. IME Motors has done business of more than Rs 2 billion in nine months. In the first nine months of the fiscal year 2025, the company made a business of Rs 2.21 billion.

Similarly, the company had a turnover of Rs 2.34 billion in FY 2024, Rs 1.75 billion in FY 2023 and Rs 3.14 billion in FY 2023. In addition, the company had a turnover of Rs 2.37 billion in 2022 and Rs 1.83 billion in FY 2021.

IME Motors has a loan rating of Rs 3.25 billion. The company has rated loan rating agency ICRA Nepal for banking loan purposes. Of this, ‘NBINUS’ has been confirmed for long-term loan of Rs 2.12 billion and ‘A4’ for short-term loan of Rs 1.12 billion.

ICRA has reaffirmed the rating given to the company a year ago. In July 2024, the company had a rating of Rs 3.4 billion for banking loan purposes.

Established in 2010, the company is owned by IME Group led by Chandra Dhakal, president of The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry( FNCCI). IME Motors is nepal’s official distributor for Ashok Leyland, a commercial vehicle of The Hinduja Group of India.

IME Motors imports buses, Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICVs), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCS), Medium Commercial Vehicles (MCVs), trucks and tippers in all commercial vehicles (CVs) of Ashok Leyland.

The company was initially established in the name of LT Enterprises Private Limited with the dealership of Dish Home (Digital TV). Later in 2017, it was renamed IME Motors Private Limited (IMPL). Ashok Leyland’s dealership has been added since 2015.
