Jakarta. Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that in the first half of 2025, $13.9 billion in investments were received in the energy and mineral sector.
This is the biggest investment in the last five years. This investment increased by 24.1 percent compared to the same period of 2024, where the total investment was $ 11.2 billion.
According to Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, the highest amount of investment has been in the oil and natural gas sector, with a total amount of $ 8.1 billion. This was followed by $3.1 billion in the mineral and coal sector.
Earlier, Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Industrial Value, Rosan Roslani, said total investment in the second quarter of this year reached 477.7 trillion rupees (about $29.3 billion), an increase of 11.5 percent from the previous year.
