India to buy 200 MW more electricity from Nepal, how much from which project?

Kathmandu. The Government of India is going to purchase an additional 200 MW of electricity from Nepal.

The Government of India has received permission from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to purchase an additional 200 MW of electricity from Nepal.

According to NEA spokesperson Rajan Dhakal, the export of additional 200 MW produced from six different hydropower projects in Nepal will start from a few days.

According to him, electricity generated from Lower Solu, Tholo Khola, Likhu-2, Likhu Khola A, Super Kabeli Khola and Super Kaveli Khola A will be exported. India has imported about 1050 MW of electricity from Nepal with an additional 200 MW. Nepal will export the electricity from August 11 to October 31, 2025.
