Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has alerted the general public about the fraud being carried out through an app named ‘NEPSE AI’. According to the CIB, misleading information is being circulated on social media like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. by analyzing the stock market and making maximum profits.

After installing this app, the remote session is being opened and all the money in the account is transferred in a jiffy and all the data in the digital device will be deleted and the evidence will be destroyed. CiB has urged people not to click, download and install any unknown links and apps including ‘NEPSE AI’.

According to the statement, a complaint has been received that a person has transferred Rs 2.86 million in his various bank accounts to other accounts while using ‘NEPSE AI’ and has deleted all the data and apps in his mobile. The CIB has urged the concerned banks, financial institutions, nearest police office or cyber bureau to report such incidents as soon as they come to know about such incidents.
