Bhojpur. The number of domestic industries registered in Bhojpur has been declining. According to the Domestic Industry Office, the registration of domestic and small industries has decreased gradually every year.

According to the Office, only 110 industries were registered till mid-July of the last fiscal year as against 591 in the fiscal year 2077/78 BS.

According to the office, the number of industry registrations is decreasing every year and the number of cancellations is increasing. According to the office data, 591 industries were registered in fy 2077/78, 404 in FY 2078/79, 264 in FY 2079/80, 133 in FY 2080/81 and 110 in FY 2081/82.

In recent years, the number of industry cancellations has also increased. Ramesh Dhakal, acting chief of the Office of Domestic and Small Industries, informed that 112 industries including 89 industries and 23 commercial firms were dissolved in the last fiscal year alone. “The registration of domestic industries and commerce firms in Bhojpur is declining every year, only 110 industries have been registered in the last fiscal year and 112 industries and firms have been dissolved,” said Acting Chief Dhakal.

According to him, a total of 4,746 industries and firms including 3,663 under industry and 1,083 in commerce are registered in Bhojpur. About 50 per cent of them are inactive in Harhari, according to the office.

Although the office has been conducting various programs for the promotion and development of the industry, the number of registrations is decreasing every year. In the last fiscal year, the office has handed over 91 suitable technologies based on the demand to encourage entrepreneurs.

According to the office, the use of local raw materials, resources and labor through micro, domestic and small industries has been emphasized. According to the office, efforts are being made to establish industries at the local level, become self-employed and create employment opportunities.
