Myagdi. Myagdi: An hour-long journey has been cut short by 30 minutes after the construction of a suspension bridge at Newkhola of Mangala rural municipality-4 in Myagdi district.
Mangala rural municipality has constructed a 92.5-meter long suspension bridge over the rivulet on the road connecting Bukeni and Dhapung villages where the ward office is located. Manmaya Chochangi of Mangala Rural Municipality-4 said that after the construction of the bridge, the problem of walking in the open and forest has been removed.
“A total of 105 households of Dhapung and Mahesh villages have been deprived of an hour’s journey to the ward office in 30 minutes,” he said. ’
The bridge has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5,710,860. The consumer committee has donated Rs 64,961.
Sub-engineer Ruchendra Adhikari, chief of the technical section of Mangala rural municipality, said that rs 1,166,424 was purchased for steel parts and Rs 3,183,091 was paid to the consumer committee.
