Nepal Chamber of Commerce holds talks with Vice President Xuan

Kathmandu. The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) held discussions with Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Bho Thi An Xuan, on trade, investment and private sector cooperation between Nepal and Vietnam.

Honorary Consul of Vietnam and former President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, Chamber of Commerce President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, outgoing President Rajendra Malla, Senior Vice President Deepak Kumar Malhotra, Women Chamber President Urmila Shrestha and other office-bearers called on Vice President Xuan today and discussed the issue.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of expanding trade access between the two countries, creating an investment-friendly environment, promoting industry and business and mutual cooperation. The Chamber viewed the meeting to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam as a possibility of opening a new chapter in trade, investment and economic partnership.

Vice President Xuan stressed the need for close coordination between the private sector of nepal chamber of commerce and Vietnam to expand bilateral trade and facilitate investment flow. He also stressed the need for the private sector of Nepal and Vietnam to further strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Kathmandu: The Chamber of Commerce has stressed the need for advancing practical programmes, saying there is scope for cooperation and partnership between Nepal and Vietnam in the fields of agriculture, tourism, energy, education and information technology.
