Stock market crosses half-century, turnover also increased

Kathmandu. On the fourth trading day of the week, the stock market crossed the half-century mark on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index rose by 53.01 points to 2,819.10 points.

Today, the Sensitive Index has gained 8.52 points, the Float Index has gained 3.55 points and the Sensitive Float Index has gained 3.06 points. Today, the transaction amount has also increased along with the stock market. Shares worth Rs 4.18 billion were traded in the market today, up from Rs 4.18 billion on the previous trading day.

The index of all the 13 sub-groups has increased on Wednesday. Among them, the index of development bank sub-group has increased the most by 3.40 percent. Similarly, the index of investment, life insurance, production and processing, other and trade sub-groups has increased by more than 2 percent today. Today, the index of banking, finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower, microfinance and non-life insurance sub-groups has increased by more than 1 percent.

On Wednesday, the share price of Bikas Hydropower was traded at a positive circuit level. Today, the share price of the company has increased by Rs 47 to Rs 517.20. Similarly, the share price of Samata Laghubitta Financial Institution has increased by about 9.5 percent today. On the other hand, green ventures’ share price has increased by more than 8 percent.

Himalayan Re Insurance is at the highest position on this day in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 654.2 million of the company were traded on this day. Similarly, shares worth Rs 550 million of Nepal Reinsurance Company were traded today.
