Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has given information about its calculation method after there was widespread opposition in the calculation of the index. Nepse has clarified that the stock market index is calculated on the basis of the weighted average price through the automated system.
According TAG_OPEN_div_2 to the notice issued by NEPSE, the NEPSE index is calculated by multiplying the transaction value of each transaction by the number of listed shares till 3 pm after the market opens at 11 am in the regular trading session.
