Kathmandu. The 66th meeting of the Investment Board has approved the draft of the project license of the 669 MW Lower Arun Hydropower Project and decided to authorize the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board to issue the license for the project.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Board chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday, said Spokesperson at the Investment Board Office Pradyumna Prasad Upadhyay. The meeting decided to approve the draft related to direct investment of Arun-3 hydropower project under construction in Sankhuwasabha and recommend to submit a proposal to the Council of Ministers for necessary decision.

Similarly, the meeting decided to authorise the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board to grant survey license by entering into an agreement with the proposer company regarding the ‘Auto Service Eco-Industrial Park’ project received as a proposal not called to the Office of the Investment Board.

The meeting on Friday decided to submit a proposal to the Council of Ministers for the purpose of approving temporary posts of various posts of various services, groups and categories for the current fiscal year 2082÷83 BS for the office of the Investment Board.
