Agricultural products worth Rs 1.23 billion exported from Eastern Border Kakarbhitta in July

Bhadrapur. The Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Center Quarantine Office, Kakarbhitta has exported agricultural products worth Rs 1.23 billion in the current fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

Information Officer at the Office, Santosh Thapa, said that cardamom, tea, ply and veneer, ginger, amliso, among others, are the main items exported. During the same period, tea worth Rs 379.868 million, cardamom worth Rs 324.321 million, ply and veneer worth Rs 268.7 million and amliso worth Rs 88.7 million were exported.

Similarly, ginger worth Rs 61 million, banda worth Rs 40.7 million and lentils worth Rs 21.3 million were exported, according to the office data. According to Information Officer Thapa, agricultural goods worth Rs 1.69 billion were imported from the eastern border during the same period.

The main agricultural commodities imported are millets, legumes, pulses, rice, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, garlic, potatoes, maize and cattle feed.
