Kathmandu. Pashupati Dev Pandey has been elected unopposed as the president of Nepal Readymade Garment Industry Association.

A new working committee of the Readymade Garment Industry Association has been elected under the leadership of Pandey, the proprietor of Pure Clothing, for the next two years. Pandey, who is also an executive committee member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry( FNCCI), had previously served as the president of the federation.

Chandi Prasad Aryal has been elected as the outgoing president, Basanta Raj Adhikari (Himalayan Cotton Fashion and International Pvt Ltd) as the first vice president and Bhupendra Kumar Basnet (Bidya Apples Pvt Ltd) as vice-president.

Similarly, Bhim Kumar Giri (Black Fashion E Pvt Ltd), Thomnath Basyal (United Fashion Monitoring E Pvt Ltd) have been elected as general secretary and Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (Heritage Fashion) as treasurer.

Krishna Prasad Pandey (Transtrip Garments E Pvt Ltd), Suresh Man Shrestha (Jamfa Nitting Industries), Hirakaji Muktan (Logo Fashion E.P.), Satish Giri (Anujit Apparels), Sachindra Pradhananga (Himalayan Knit Wear) and Ramesh Kumar Karna have been elected as working committee members. Similarly, Sandeep Poudel has been elected as a member of the council of ministers.
