Bhojpur. The Bhojpur-Dingla 33.5-km road connecting Bhojpur district headquarters with the northern region has been blacktopped. The blacktopping work has been started in two sections at a cost of Rs 1.22 billion by the Koshi state government.

The first section of Bhojpur-Dingla three-storied 17.5-km road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 584 million 15 thousand 561. The road, which was started in November 2080 BS, is scheduled to be completed in December 2082 BS. According to the Infrastructure Development Office, Bhojpur, 45 percent of the physical progress of this road is in Harhari.

The second section of Bhojpur-Dingla-Teen-Tale-Dingla 16-km road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 639.262 million. Rajan Raj Reddy, chief of the Infrastructure Development Office, Bhojpur, said that the construction of the road, which was signed in December 2080 BS, is underway. The physical progress of this road is 20 percent. Both these roads will be blacktopped using Asphalt technology, reddy said.

“The work of blacktopping the Bhojpur-Dingla road is going on in two sections,” reddy said, adding that it is also an important road connecting the district headquarters to the northern region. We have taken forward the road construction on priority. ’

Nima Sherpa, a local of Shadananda-10, said the work of blacktopping the road has intensified. According to him, the blacktopping of the road will make it easier for the people of Shadananda Municipality and Salpasilichho Rural Municipality along with the marketing of agricultural produce here. He said that after the blacktopping of the road, the compulsion to go to Bhojpur district headquarters after visiting Sankhuwasabha district during the year will also end.

Surendra Kumar Udas, mayor of Shadananda Municipality, said that the blacktopping of this road would make it easier for the people of the northern region. According to him, the municipality is playing an essential role in ensuring the quality of the road within the stipulated time.

The construction company has taken the responsibility of constructing the first section of the road.
