Kavrepalanchowk. Kavrepalanchowk: One more municipal hospital in Kavrepalanchowk has started the first service under the health insurance program. After this, the service is being provided from the first service point of health insurance from eight institutions of the district.

Panchkhal Municipal Hospital has started the first service of health insurance from Friday. Earlier, banepa basic hospital run by Banepa municipality and basic hospital operated by Mandandeupur municipality had signed an agreement with the Insurance Board in the last week of July and started the service from August.

Kavrepalanchowk: The number of government health institutions that have been granted permission to operate the first service point of health insurance in Kavrepalanchowk has reached eight. Earlier, Sunthan, Khopasi, Panchkhal and Dhulikhel Primary Health Centres and Methinkot Provincial Hospital had received approval.

Panchkhal Municipality, which did not start the service due to lack of human resources, has started the service from Friday after making necessary arrangements. Mayor Mahesh Kharel said that all necessary arrangements have been made to provide regular services in a smooth manner from Sunday.

Dhulikhel Municipality has started the service of its health center building from the premises of Dhulikhel Hospital from August 15. Earlier, the centre had been delaying providing health insurance services as the first service point due to lack of physical infrastructure and human resources. The municipality has started referral service with doctors, nurses and medicines from the dhulikhel hospital premises to make it easier for those coming to dhulikhel hospital to get insurance service.

The government had implemented the rule that government health institutions would be the first service point of health insurance from July 1. Methinkot Hospital, Primary Health Centre Dhulikhel, Sunthan, Khopasi and Panchkhal, listed as the first service points since November 1, 2076 BS, had been providing services only to Methinkot Hospital and Praswake Sunthan and Khopasi when the government rules came into force.
