Kathmandu. The incidents of vandalism, arson and looting during the Zenji movement have caused a huge loss to the Chaudhary Group.

Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of the group, said that it was one of the most painful moments in the company’s history.

According to him, decades of hard work, sacrifice and investment have been shattered within a few hours after the movement that began with the demand for change and accountability turned violent by anti-social elements and external forces. In this process, the chairman was personally targeted, the family house was set on fire, factories and offices were damaged, and various showrooms were looted.

But even in the midst of despair and darkness, the courage of the Siji family was shown. “Even in the midst of fire and unrest, the leadership, managers and employees put their safety at risk to protect assets, continue to serve customers and keep the company’s promise alive,” said Chaudhary.

Saluting all those who stood by the damage, he added, “We are hurt, we are shaken, but we are not broken. Buildings can be burned, but our dreams cannot be burned. Showrooms can be looted, but our prices cannot be stolen. ‘

Describing Chaudhary Group as one of the largest taxpayers of Nepal, one of the largest employers and a leading organization in nation building, he recalled that it has always stood for the country during every crisis like earthquake, flood or pandemic.

“We will rebuild, we will bounce back, we will move forward stronger. History will remember how we came out stronger, not our buildings burned down,” he said.

In the end, Chaudhary thanked all the employees and said, “You are the heart of this organization. Not only will we survive, but we will build a bright future. ‘
