Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel said there would be no shortage of resources for the reconstruction of the damaged structures during the demonstration.
According to him, a big resource is needed for reconstruction. Poudel stressed the need of improvement in good governance and administrative efficiency.
He said that although the attack on the private sector during the demonstration has added worry to the entrepreneurs, there is no alternative to moving ahead by boosting the morale of the private sector.
“Many private business buildings were damaged in course of the demonstration but now our priority should be to create an environment conducive for investment in the country and attract foreign investment.
He insisted on the need of political stability, investment-friendly environment and boost the morale of private sector for the development of the economy. He also said that the economy needs to be improved to sustain the entrepreneurs.
According to him, legal clarity is necessary for the development of the economy. Welcoming the new working committee of the Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON) here today, Minister Khatiwada said that there should be clarity as per the spirit of the law as there were problems in carrying out works due to lack of legal clarity in some cases.
According to him, legal clarity was necessary to resolve the problems that might arise in course of moving ahead from the recent situation in the country. “Clarity of law is necessary in all sectors, especially journalists should be aware of the risk of sending wrong message if the law is not well interpreted while writing news,” he said.
Stating that journalism would be an important medium to interact with the general public, he said the NRB was ready to collaborate with SEJON.
