Kathmandu. Although today is a public holiday on the occasion of Ghatasthapana, the Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) system has been put into operation for electronic payment transactions.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the RTGS system will be operational on Monday as well. Though Ghatasthapana is a public holiday on Monday, the RTGS system will be available from 10 am to 4 pm, according to a notice issued by the NRB.

RTGS is an electronic payment system used for large-value payments. This system is especially used for high-value and much-needed payments.
