Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal and ADB Country Director Arno Kosova held a meeting at the Ministry of Finance today.

During the meeting, Director Koswa discussed with the Finance Minister the possible impact of the political developments in Nepal on the economy and the continuity of programmes run with the assistance of the ADB.

During the discussions, Finance Minister Khanal said that the main task of the incumbent government is to hold the election of the House of Representatives on the stipulated date. The government was committed to good governance and creating employment opportunities in the country as per the aspirations of youths in the changed times, he asserted.

On the occasion, Minister Khanal said that the ADB has played an important role in the sectors of energy, physical infrastructure, drinking water and various development projects, and urged the government to give continuity to the ongoing projects.

Also speaking on the occasion, ADB Country Director Koswa said the government was ready to collaborate with the government in the areas of economic development in Nepal.
