Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal has urged Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Cheng Song to further strengthen Nepal-China banking partnership and further strengthen cooperation in banking sector.

Minister Khanal said this during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Cheng Song today.

On the occasion, Minister Khanal urged Chinese Ambassador to take initiatives for facilitation of payment of export made from Nepal and encourage Chinese investors to invest in Nepal.

Minister Khanal said that China is a good neighbour of Nepal and thanked China for its continuous support to Nepal.

During the meeting, Minister Khanal said the main task of the incumbent government formed under special circumstances was to hold the elections on the slated date adding that the government would continue the economic partnership with China.

During the meet, the Chinese ambassador said China has always respected the choices of the Nepali people and would continue its support to Nepal.

Stating that the Chinese ambassador said the projects under construction with Chinese assistance were progressing satisfactorily and the Chinese investors were willing to invest in Nepal, he said they would hold separate interaction with the Chinese investors once the situation becomes favourable.
