Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) President Mahesh Kumar Shrestha has called on founding president of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Upendra Mahato.
Meeting Mahato, who was destroyed during the Gen G agitation on September 7-24, Shrestha said that the attack was an attack on the entire NRNA.
Shrestha also urged all to be united as they are being attacked from all sides due to weak unity among NRNAs. “The act of mischief at your residence is not only an attack on you and your family, but it is also an attack on the dignity, security and hope of every Nepali at home and abroad,” he said. ’
Shrestha said the attack has deeply hurt the mind of every member of the NRNA community and stressed the need to move ahead with a strong resolve for unity. “It has sent a message that the security situation in Nepal is weak and it will have negative impact on bringing investment,” he said, calling on the government to seriously review the issue.
Similarly, former NRNA President Dr. Shesh Ghale said that the incident was tragic and encouraged them not to lose courage. He also stressed that NRNA should be focused for the economic development of Nepal together at the institutional level.
Similarly, NRNA activist RK Sharma said that no one can attack NRNs in the coming days if all move ahead by forming a united NRNA. “We are engaged in the service of motherland for a few days and not to take anything,” he said, urging all Nepalis to understand this.
Likewise, founding president Mahato said that he has always invested in Nepal for the progress of Nepal. He said that the attack was carried out with the intention of weakening the NRNA rather than the individual. He said that those who damaged his house were not Genji and stressed that the robbers should be identified and action should be taken. “This time I was attacked, next time I don’t want to be the first and the last,” he said. ’
Member Secretary of NRNA High-Level Committee Janaki Gurung, NRNA Vice-President Khagendra Neupane, Women Coordinator Rashmi Thapa, Youth Coordinator Bhimsen Thapa, Research Coordinator Dipesh Khatri, Member Secretary Dharma Raj Giri, Disaster Management Committee members Niranjan Bhandari and Nirajan Khatri were present on the occasion.
