Nepal Chamber and Sri Lanka Export Chamber sign MoU for commercial cooperation

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and Sri Lanka’s National Chamber of Exporters (NCC) have agreed to exchange business delegations to connect the businessmen of the two countries.

The MoU was signed between Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Export Chamber of Sri Lanka to expand the scope of mutual trade and investment, to identify opportunities for establishment of industries and joint investment and to directly connect the business leaders of the two countries through the exchange of business delegations.

The MoU will help create an environment conducive for the business persons of both the countries to come into mutual meetings and participate in trade fairs and business forums. The representatives of Nepal Chamber of Commerce will also study about the economic revival of Sri Lanka.

According to a press release issued by the NCC, the agreement was signed to promote trade, investment, industry and service sector between the two organizations. Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Dr. The agreement was signed by NCC Vice President and International Committee President Arjun Prasad Sharma and Secretary General of National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka Shiham Marikar in the presence of President of National Chamber of Exporters Indra Kaushal Rajapaksa.

The two sides will further expand the scope of mutual trade and investment, identify opportunities for joint investment and establish industries, and exchange business delegations to bring businessmen into direct linkages.

According to the agreement, both the organisations will exchange information on local and national economic trends, market-related statistics, foreign trade policy and investment promotion on a regular basis.
