Kathmandu. Industrialists affected by the Genji agitation will be able to restructure and reschedule loans by mid-January 2082. The central bank has made this provision to revive and facilitate the entrepreneurs affected by the agitation.
By amending the Unified Directive issued to the banks and financial institutions on Friday, the banks and financial institutions can reschedule and restructure the affected loans to the industries, trades, businesses, establishments and other borrowers directly affected by the extraordinary situation created during the agitation.
Likewise, the NRB has also made arrangements to provide concessions to industries providing employment to at least 100 women. “The licensed institutions can maintain the interest rate by adding a premium of 1 percent to the base rate of the industries exporting at least 25 percent of the total production by adding a minimum of 25 percent value addition.” It is stated in the directive of the Rastra Bank.
