Kathmandu. Janak Raj Sharma, chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), has assumed charge as the chairman of the NEA today. He administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sharma by Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal today itself.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on September 24 has given responsibility to Sharma as the chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) until further arrangement. Sharma is currently working at the Ministry of Finance.
Sharma stressed on the need of making the insurance service more qualitative and reliable in the current difficult situation and making the insurance claim payment fast and effective.
Sharma said, “It is necessary to move ahead in a way to increase the trust of the general public in insurance sector by enhancing the quality of insurance sector as per the spirit of the movement of the new generation and the changing context. ”
Chairman Sharma said that the insurance companies should make the insurance claim payment process hassle-free and pay the claims on time. He said that if this is done, the confidence in the insurance will increase and the scope of insurance will increase.
Chairman Sharma directed the NEA employees to perform quality and speedy performance with the right intention.
