Chitwan. Power supply has been disrupted in Madi municipality of the district for the past three days. The power supply to Madi municipality has been disrupted since 2.00 am on Saturday due to problems in the underground transmission line.
Raj Kumar Shrestha, chief of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) distribution centre, Chanauli, said that the problem has surfaced in two of the underground electrification centres. The underground line near Riukhola has been affected due to the incessant rainfall since Saturday. He said that there was a problem in the transmission of electricity due to the accumulation of water. ’
He said that the problem was caused in course of widening the width of the road in the underground electrification wire inside the Chitwan National Park. According to him, the power supply would be eased by this evening by resolving the problems in both the places. Shrestha said that repair work is underway at the place where the problem was found. There are 12,000 customers in Madi Municipality.
