Baglung. The 13-km road from Patihalne of Nisikhola Rural Municipality-6 to Rupaga of Bhume Rural Municipality-1 in East Rukum has not been completed even in a decade.

The work could not be completed on time due to the negligence of the contractors. Nabin Kharal, information officer at the Mid-Hill Highway Office, Dailekh, said that only 70 percent of the work has been completed so far.

An agreement has been signed for the blacktopping of the section of the highway at a cost of Rs 42.99 crore. He said that the construction company has been instructed to complete the work as per the agreement by extending the deadline time and again.

“Many vehicles have started plying on the Mid-Hill Highway and hundreds of passengers travel through this route every day.
