Damauli. The local levels in the district have blacktopped 15 kilometers of road in the last one year. In the last fiscal year, six rural municipalities of the district blacktopped 15.62 kilometers road. Likewise, the local governments have opened a new track of 38.55 kilometres road.

Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Chief Administrative Officer of Myagde Rural Municipality, said that the rural municipality blacktopped 1.5 kilometers road in the past one year. A new track of 2.55 kilometres of the road has been opened while 3.1 kilometres of the road has been graveled. Four cemented bridges were constructed during the period, the official said.

A nine-kilometer track has been opened in Byas municipality. According to Chief Administrative Officer Sukdev Lamsal, 5.2 kilometres of gravel and 3.94 kilometres of the bridge have been blacktopped.

Chief Administrative Officer Anil Amgai said that the track of a five-kilometer road has been opened in Rishing Rural Municipality. According to him, 12 kilometers of the road has been graveled while one kilometer has been blacktopped. Similarly, a concrete bridge has been constructed, he said.

Kamal Bahadur KC, chief administrative officer of Bandipur rural municipality, said that track of 18-km road has been opened in Bandipur rural municipality. According to him, 13 kilometers of the road has been graveled and four kilometers of road has been blacktopped in Bandipur.

Chief Administrative Officer Krishna Prasad Dhakal said that track of one .two kilometers road has been opened in Ghiring rural municipality. According to him, 2.5 kilometers of the road has been graveled while one kilometer road has been blacktopped.

A total of 4.63-km road has been blacktopped and track on 2.8 km has been opened in Abukhaireni rural municipality, Chief Administrative Officer Chandrakanta Timilsina said.
