Govt approves NEA to issue Rs 20 billion energy bond

Kathmandu. The government has given permission to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to issue energy bonds worth Rs 20 billion in a phased manner.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today gave the approval to this effect.

The government also decided to promote Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) Sushil Singh Rathor, Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, Himalaya Kumar Shrestha and Dambar Bahadur Bishwakarma to Additional Inspectors General (AIGs).

The meeting also scrapped the Land Problems Resolution Commission formed as per the Land Problems Resolution Commission Formation Order 2081 BS and district committees of all districts. The meeting of the Council of Ministers has sent the report submitted by the Tribhuvan University Land and Immovable Property Search Committee, 2081 BS to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for implementation.

The report submitted by the High-Level Study and Investigation Committee-2082 formed to resolve the problems seen in regard to immigration and visit visa has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs for implementation.

Spokesperson Kharel shared that the decision was also made to send the report of the high-level study and suggestion committee formed for the reform of the civil aviation sector to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation for implementation-2082 BS.
