Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has reduced the limit on debit card transactions. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has reduced the limit on debit card transactions in order to encourage digital transactions.

According to NRB Debit Card, customers can make transactions worth Rs 20,000 per day, Rs 50,000 per day and Rs 300,000 per month. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has sent directives to banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to implement the new provision.

Earlier, the transaction rate was Rs 25,000 per day, Rs 1 lakh per day and Rs 4 lakh per month.
