Kathmandu. Sudip Acharya, chairman of the board of directors of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

A meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on Friday had elected Acharya as the chairman of the bank. As per the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, the elected chairman is required to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the Nepal Rastra Bank.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Executive Director of Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, Guru Prasad Poudel, Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision Department Satyendra Timilsina, Director and CEO of Development Bank, among others.

Sudip Acharya, Bhim Prasad Tulachan, Chatur Adhikari, promoter group and general group Balaram Baral, Bishweshwar Subedi and Dr. Sudip Acharya from the promoter group held on Friday. Pawan Kumar Sharma was elected unopposed.
