America. Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal, who is in Washington DC to attend the annual meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), attended various meetings and discussions on Monday and Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Minister Khanal had a meeting with US Deputy Trade Representative Brian Schweiser. Matters related to bilateral trade and tax policies were discussed during the meeting. The Embassy here said the discussion was useful. The meeting was attended by officials from the United States of America and Nepal.

Likewise, Minister Khanal also held talks with the Chairman of Saudi Fund for Development, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Marsad. Prior to this, the Minister had also held discussions with representatives of various international organizations that have been involved in Nepal’s development.

Nepal’s ambassador to the US Lok Darshan Regmi, representatives of the Nepali embassy, members of Khanal’s entourage and other staffers were present on the occasion.
