Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Tihar, the second major festival of Hindus, has begun from today.

The festival is celebrated every year from Kartik Krishna Trayodashi to Kartik Shukla Dwitiya. The second biggest festival of Nepal, Tihar, has started from today as Dwadashi and Trayodashi Tithi are being celebrated till 1:23 pm today.

Dhanteras, also known as Dhanteras, is being celebrated today with the beginning of Tihar. On the occasion of Dhanteras, the gold and silver shops at New Road are crowded with people today. On this day, it is especially customary to buy metal items ।
