Myagdi. MYAGDI: The road linking Ghyasikharka of Raghuganga rural municipality-8 and Lulang of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-2 has come into operation after a gap of four months.
The road linking Lulang has been obstructed since mid-July after the flood level rose in Ghyasikharka and Darkhola of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-2 due to landslide triggered by landslide triggered by Raghuganga rural municipality-7.
Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality vice-chair Resham Pun Magar Bam has resumed transportation along the road linking Lulang by installing hum pipe after the water level in Darkhola receded. Vehicular movement along the road linking Lulang and Gurja villages is obstructed during the rainy season as there is no motorable bridge over Darkhola.
Similarly, the road linking Chimkhola to Ghyasikharka has been resumed after dozers were mobilized with the help of Chimkhola-Rahughat-Mangale, Thulokhola and Upper Thulokhola Hydropower Project.
According to the local governments, all the roads obstructed during the rainy season including Ghyasikarka and Lulang in the remote areas of Myagdi district have been repaired and vehicular movement has resumed. With the operation of transportation, it has been easier for the people of rural areas to commute, transport construction materials and foodstuffs, and sell agricultural and livestock products.
