Kanchanpur. A concrete bridge is being constructed over the Banhara River that flows through Shuklaphanta Municipality-12. The bridge connecting Duwaha-Damalpatti-Chitrapur is under construction at a cost of Rs 25 crore 96 lakh 38 thousand 340. According to Santosh Chand, engineer of the Mahakali Bridge Project, 90 percent of the construction has been completed so far.

Along with the bridge construction, the construction of embankment around the bridge is also underway in course of river control. “Half of the river control work has been completed and the remaining half is moving ahead in full swing,” said Chand. He said that the target is to complete the work by coming December.
