Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Digital payment service provider eSewa in collaboration with non-life insurance company Shikhar Insurance has launched a new health insurance policy called Sahara Health Insurance.
The insurance policy is available to citizens in the age group of 5-65 years and covers the services like hospitalization, emergency treatment, surgery, medication, lab tests and accident treatment. The sum insured is available at Rs 2 lakh, Rs 3 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, while the initial premium starts from Rs 1,399.
The policyholders will be able to avail the health treatment services at recognized hospitals across Nepal and Shikhar Insurance will also get cashless facility at 26 network hospitals of the company. In addition, a one-time free telehealth consultation service is also included under the plan.
Customers can purchase the insurance policy in a few minutes through eSewa app and they will receive the insurance policy instantly via SMS and email. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of e-Seva Jagdish Khadka said, “Sahara Health Insurance will make health insurance more accessible, simple and digital. This is an important step towards insurance digitalization.
