Dedicated feeder and trunk line arrears dispute: NEA connects line to these 9 industries, including Goenka Foods, who paid dues

Kathmandu. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has connected the electricity to 9 industries that have paid the arrears of dedicated feeder and trunk line.

NEA has disconnected power supply to 25 industries that have not paid their dues of dedicated feeder and trunk line. Of them, the line of industries that have paid the first tranche of arrears has been connected, according to NEA.

The industries that are connected to the line are Bhalwari Automatic Rice Industry, SR Foods, SR Steel, Panchakanya Steel, Panchakanya Plastic, Shyam Plastic, Siddhartha Pet Plast, Gharana Foods and Goenka Foods.

The queue of 16 industries that have not paid their dues is still not connected. According to Manoj Silwal, managing director of NEA, the line of 9 industries has been connected. He said that the queue will be connected to the factory immediately after the payment of the first installment of dues.

Out of the 25 industries that have not paid their dues, the power supply of six industries was cut off on October 19 while the power supply of the remaining 19 industries was cut off on October 23.
