Mountains. The construction of a motorable bridge over the Kaligandaki river linking Baglung municipality and Kushma municipality of Parbat district under the Kaligandaki corridor has started.

The Gandaki Infrastructure Development Directorate has started the construction of a 100-meter long cemented bridge linking New Bridge of Kushma Municipality-2 and Kalakhola of Baglung Municipality-13.

The bridge is estimated to cost Rs 16.95 crore. According to the directorate, soil testing of the bridge construction site is underway. The construction will begin once the soil test report is received.

The Directorate signed an agreement with the construction company on July 3, 2082 for the construction of the bridge. As per the agreement, the construction has to be completed within three years. The bridge will be 100 meters long and 11 meters wide.
