Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 55.84 crore in the first three months of the current FY.

The profit was 46.33 percent lower than the corresponding period of the previous year. In the first quarter of the last FY, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 1,0406 crore. The net interest income of the bank has improved due to the decrease in profit.

Compared to the last FY, the bank’s net interest income increased by 10.14 percent to Rs 2.89 billion. Similarly, operating profit has declined. It decreased by 16.51 percent to Rs 1.17 billion compared to the previous year.

The bank has paid-up capital of Rs 23.54 billion and reserve fund of Rs 14.55 billion. During the period, the distributable profit of the bank reached Rs 40.60 crore.

The NPL of the bank has increased from 4.94 percent to 5.78 percent. The bank has EPS of Rs 9.49 and net worth per share of Rs 163.55.
