Birgunj. KATHMANDU: Exports from Birgunj border point have increased in the current fiscal year as compared to the last fiscal year.
According to Chief Customs Administrator Bishnu Prasad Gyawali, goods worth Rs 26.59 billion were exported in the first three months of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, goods worth Rs 8.84 billion were exported.
A total of 67.1 million litres of soybean oil worth Rs 13.98 billion was exported in the first three months of the current fiscal year.
Likewise, 21,248,383 liters of juice worth Rs 2.07 billion was exported in the first three months of the current fiscal year. Similarly, 36,848,308 litres of refined sunflower oil worth Rs 1.70 billion and 24,905,185 units of cloth worth Rs 970 million and synthetic yarn worth Rs 660 million were exported.
