. Pure Energy Limited has earned a net profit of Rs 90.05 million in the first quarter of 2082/83.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 52.59 crore in the same quarter last year. Pure has made a profit at the beginning of the year by releasing its first quarter financial statements.
Pure Energy, which started commercial production in 2080 BS by signing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in November 2021, has two solar projects of 10 MW capacity in operation in Banke.
The company earned Rs 6.55 crore from the sale of electricity in the first quarter. “The company has been supplying electricity to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) continuously and without interruption as per the PPA,” the company said in its financial statement.
In the coming period, the company plans to analyze the management of the project and operate it in a commercially competent manner and provide it to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The company has been paying the principal and interest of the loan taken from the bank on time by Nepal Rastra Bank from time to time.
Pure Energy is the largest solar power producer in the Golyan Group. The company’s paid-up capital has reached Rs 80 crore after the initial public offering (IPO) last April. The company’s earnings per share also increased compared to the same period last year. Earnings per share increased from Rs. 3.29 in Q1 2081÷82 to Rs. 4.50 in the last quarter under review. The net worth per share has also increased significantly. It was Rs 97.27 in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year and Rs 101.61 in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
Pure Energy has a 26% stake in Sol Power. According to the financial statements of 2081÷82 published by Pure Energy on its website, 2,60,000 units of face value of Rs 100 per share have been purchased. Sol Power is developing five solar projects. According to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)’s annual report 2024/25, the power purchase agreement (PPA) of all five hydropower projects has been signed on June 12.
