Arghakhanchi Cement submits first installment

Kathmandu. Arghakhanchi Cement has paid the first tranche of the project to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in the dispute over trunk line and dedicated dues.

According to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Arghakhanchi Cement has claimed that it has outstanding dues of Rs 44.84 crore. Out of this, Rs 1.6 crore has been paid to the authority under the first installment of 28 installments. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reconnected the power supply to Arghakhanchi Cement after it submitted the first tranche of the project.

As per the agreement reached with Prime Minister Sushila Karki, the industrialists would pay the first tranche as deposit to settle the cases through the judicial body and settle it through a review committee.

However, the NEA has claimed that the industrialists have paid the first tranche out of 28 installments. Along with this, most of the industrialists have paid the first installment.
