Banking sector in challenging situation, time has come to move ahead unitedly: Chairman Koirala

. Santosh Koirala, president of Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), said that the banking sector and other sectors have been facing problems due to the Genji agitation, floods, landslides, festivals and fear of another agitation.

Speaking at the general meeting of the Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions (CBFN) on Friday, he said that this is the reason why the banks have not been able to bring good reports.TAG_OPEN_div_6 Stating that the banking sector is currently in a challenging situation, he urged the government to stress on the possibility of positive development in the days ahead.

}He added, “Saying too much negative things doesn’t do anything. With a positive approach, all sectors of the country should work together to bring the economy into rhythm and ensure growth. Koirala also stressed the need to explore new investment opportunities to create conducive environment for investment. He said that the situation would be positive in the coming days if all sectors move ahead together.
